Behind Rusty DeWees’ ripped Carhartts, duct tape, weathered boots and over-the-top Vermont accent lies a professionally trained actor. Before creating his now-famous character “the Logger,” he honed his theatrical chops at the Vermont Actors' Repertory Theatre and New York City’s George Loris Actors Theatre School and Lee Strasberg Institute. These days, the Stowe resident has a multigenerational following that flocks to live performances, including the Logger’s Holiday Variety Show. Joined by champion fiddler Patrick Ross, Emmy Award-winner Peter Wilder and recording artist Keeghan Nolan, DeWees delivers a fast-paced evening of comedy and music that showcases his gift for storytelling.
